Welcome to the latest addition to the Special Collections Research Center's staff, Public Services Assistant Kari Salisbury.
Kari Salisbury joined the Special Collections Research Center in Fall as a Public Services Assistant. Prior to moving back to Boone, she worked for the Catawba County Library system in the Local History and Genealogy room helping researchers discover and learn how to use resources for personal, local, and state history.
Kari graduated from App State’s Public History program in the “before-times” and during her time as an undergrad she worked in the Special Collections Research Center as a student employee. Even though she was already interested in working in archives and special collections, her time spent as a student employee really helped cement her interest.
She is currently in the final year of the MLIS program with UW [University of Washington].
